Narasi Korban Kekerasan Seksual Pada Anak dalam Media Lokal: Analisis Wacana Kritis Sara Mills
Abstract
The issue of sexual violence has become a global concern. In Indonesia, sexual violence is prone to occur in children. The purpose of this research is to describe the narratives of victims of sexual violence against children in local media. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The approach used is Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) with Sara Mills' theory. Sara Mills' focus, namely the position of the subject-object and the position of the reader-writer. The data sources for this research are news from Korankaltim.com, Jatim.tribunnews.com, and Kaltimtoday.co media. The results of the study found that local media narrate victims of sexual violence against children on marginalized objects in the news text. The perpetrators or those represented by the Head of Police are positioned as news subjects. Readers are positioned as followers of stories in news that are dominated by actors. Reporting that is dominated by the statement of the perpetrator will be used as a fact by the reader. This of course will perpetuate patriarchal culture, especially for minors. It is recommended for other researchers to study from the side of the male victim. Hopefully, the results of this study can be constructive suggestions for media that discuss cases of sexual violence against minors.
Abstrak
Isu mengenai kekerasan seksual menjadi perhatian dunia. Di Indonesia kekerasan seksual rentan terjadi pada anak-anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan narasi korban kekerasan seksual pada anak dalam media lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pendekatan yang digunakan Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) dengan teori Sara Mills. Fokus Sara Mills, yaitu posisi subjek-objek dan posisi pembaca-penulis. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah berita dari media Korankaltim.com, Jatim.tribunnews.com, dan Kaltimtoday.co. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa media lokal menarasikan korban kekerasan seksual pada anak pada objek yang terpinggirkan dalam teks berita. Pelaku atau yang diwakili oleh Kapolres diposisikan sebagai subjek berita. Pembaca diposisikan sebagai pengikut cerita pada berita yang didominasi oleh pelaku. Pemberitaan yang didominasi oleh pernyataan pelaku akan dijadikan sebagai sebuah fakta oleh pembaca. Pemberitaan tersebut tentunya akan melanggenggkan budaya patriarki terlebih pada anak di bawah umur. Direkomendasikan pada peneliti lain untuk mengkaji dari sisi korban laki-laki. Hasil penelitian ini semoga dapat menjadi saran yang membangun pada media-media yang membahas mengenai kasus kekerasan seksual pada anak di bawah umur.
